NEINVER sets opening date for Prague’s flagship outlet centre

NEINVER has announced the opening date for Prague The Style Outlets, located in the capital of the Czech Republic. A joint project between The Prague Outlet and NEINVER, Prague The Style Outlets will open its doors in 26 April 2018.

With a prime location less than 5 minutes from Prague’s international airport and 25 minutes from the city centre, Prague The Style Outlets will be the largest outlet centre in the Czech Republic. The first phase will feature 20,000 m2 of gross leasable area (GLA), 115 units and 2,400 parking spaces. Phase 2 will boost the total space to 30,000 m2 of GLA and 190 units.

“The centre will introduce the Czech Republic and its retail-savvy shoppers to the unique The Style Outlets experience. The attractive, welcoming environment and a complete offer of value-added services for customers will round out the centre’s commercial mix”, says Sebastian Sommer, NEINVER’s Business Development Director. “The opening of Prague The Style Outlets coincides with the completion of the centre’s upgrade and refurbishment, and the addition of public-service areas to ensure that the new scheme provides a totally new customer experience.”

Located in one of Europe’s top tourist destinations, which receives over 7 million tourists every year, the centre will also benefit from a strong catchment area of 4.6 million people within a 90-minute radius, with convenient public transport links.

When complete, the centre, which involved an investment of over €70 million, should generate about 600 to 700 direct jobs and NEINVER intends to hold a job fair in advance of the opening.

NEINVER continues strengthening its expansion strategy in Europe and its leadership position in the outlet market, in which it currently manages 15 centres and 293,500 m2. “The opening of the centre will be a milestone in NEINVER’s expansion strategy, which is focusing on outlet centres near major European cities with strong catchment areas in terms of population, tourism potential, economic growth and transport links”, Sommer adds.

The company also has other projects in the pipeline including expansion into the Netherlands through a new development in Amsterdam and an agreement with Carrefour Polska to manage the Metropolitan Outlet centre in Bydgoszcz, in the north of Poland. In Germany, NEINVER is working on the development of phase 2 of Halle Leipzig The Style Outlets, and recently became the exclusive operator of Fashion Outlet Montabaur after agreeing on a long-term partnership with Fashion Outlet Grundbesitz.
