MIPIM dates: Tuesday 14th – Friday 17th March

At MIPIM 2017 the main aim of Poland Today’s initiative is to highlight to the international real estate community the dynamic development taking place in Poland, especially in Warsaw, and to take a wider look at the CEE market, focusing on the economic and business context to the real estate market in the region’s countries.

We will do this through our high-level conferences on the 1st and 2nd days, through the Executive Cocktail Party on the evening of the 1st day, through the special focus on Poland’s top projects in Poland Today magazine – to be distributed widely at MIPIM – and through the film we are commissioning especially for Cannes to show the amazing projects of the future underway in Poland.

Poland Today’s programme at MIPIM is co-organized by PropertyEU and supported by Outsourcing & More.

Tuesday 14th March
16:30 – 18.00

Is this Poland’s Golden Age of Development?

Film, presentation and Q&A

Venue: Verriere Grand Audi

Open to all MIPIM attendees

Developers in Poland have gone way beyond the functional and are now building the inspirational, developing schemes which enhance the local community and look to the future. The schemes they are building would make any country or city around the world proud. This is happening across Poland, especially in Warsaw. In front of our eyes, the capital is becoming one of the most dynamic cities in the world.

The session will start off with a short film – especially commissioned by Poland Today for MIPIM 2017 – which will show Poland’s leading projects of the future, described in their own words by the projects’ developers. The film is being made by award-winning, independent filmmaker Kama Veymont.

Every session Poland Today has organized at MIPIM over the last three years has been a panel discussion, and with the quality of speakers we’ve been fortunate to have, that’s been great.

But this time we’re going to do something a little bit different. We’ll be inviting onto the stage – one at a time – the leading developers in Poland, to talk about their key projects in short Q&A’s with the session host, Richard Betts, Publisher of PropertyEU – and with the audience.

This will give the international and Polish real estate market the opportunity to hear about these amazing projects – many for the first time – from the people who know them best. We believe that by doing it this way – with the projects ‘side by side’, the quality and diversity of these projects will really hit home.

Polska & CEE: Closer together or further apart?

Venue: Ruby Room, Level 5

Poland is the undisputed heavyweight of Central Europe. Are the other CE countries getting closer to Poland or moving further away? While developers in Poland & CEE move forward with impressive schemes, what is the economic outlook which will underpin their success – or the potential pitfalls? What are the factors which will affect the region’s economic performance – and in turn its real estate market – in the short, medium and long-term? What do major international investors say about the region in the light of recent political issues? What are the future destinations for the region’s newest and fastest-growing sector – business services? What issues is the success of Business Services throwing up, and how best to deal with them? How are the needs of the Business Services providers changing?
