Construction of Silesia Outlet in Gliwice begins

Gliwice will soon be the location of the largest outlet centre in the Upper Silesia – Silesia Outlet. The total gross leasable area of 20 thousand sqm will be the home of over 120 branches of popular and appreciated footwear and clothing companies. The centre is to be built in two stages. The opening of the first stage, with its total gross leasable area of 12 thousand sqm, will take place in spring 2019. Today, the foundation stone for the construction of the facility was laid.

The investor engaged in the construction of Silesia Outlet is 6B47 Poland, a company being a part of the 6B47 Real Estate Investors AG. The general contractor of the project is Erbud SA Company. The design of the centre was created by the IMB Asymetria Architectural Design Studio. The BOIG Property Consulting is responsible for commercialisation-related undertakings.

We believe that Silesia Outlet will satisfy the needs of the residents of the Upper Silesia region, which is a remarkably large market for consumer goods and commercial facilities, especially in the age of smart shopping”, says Mirosław Januszko, Executive Director of the 6B47 Poland Company.

Silesia Outlet is to be built in two phases. After the completion of the first one, 12 thousand square metres of gross leasable area will be made available for customers and will house approximately 70 stores, whereas the second stage will make it possible to open 50 more branches of well-known brands thanks to 8 more thousand square metres of GLA. The visitors of the centre will have 830 parking spaces at their disposal.

The foundation stone laying ceremony symbolises another milestone of the project – finishing of the ground works and starting of the main stage of the construction. In July, the first section of the building will be covered with a roof. The total cost of the said stage is expected to be PLN 57 million.
