Panattoni Europe’s fifth project for Amazon in Sosnowiec

New 135,000 sqm facility to be built

Panattoni Europe signed another contract with Amazon in Poland. It will encompass over 130k sqm and will be located in the South of Poland, in Sosnowiec. The previous ones have been completed in Poznań, Wrocław (PL) and Prague(CR); the fourth being currently under construction in Szczecin.

The new logistics centre is being built in Sosnowiec in the Upper Silesia region. The property totalling 135,000 sqm will be built on a 21-hectare site near Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I/II. Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Sosnowiec will be adapted to the high-bay storage system and dedicated to the distribution of shoes and clothes in Western Europe. Moreover – like with the previous Panattoni Europe projects for Amazon – the facility will be subject to environmental certification under the BREEAM scheme. Completion of construction works is planned for October 2017.
