NEINVER strengthens European presence with second outlet centre in Germany

NEINVER and Fashion Outlet Grundbesitz agree on a long-term partnership to run Fashion Outlet Montabaur

NEINVER, a Spanish company specialised in investment, development and management of property assets—the second-largest operator of outlet centres in Europe and the largest in Spain and Poland—has entered into a long-term partnership with Fashion Outlet Grundbesitz GmbH & Co KG, investor and owner of Fashion Outlet Montabaur in Germany. The agreement will see NEINVER become the exclusive, long-term partner and operator, responsible for its management, leasing and marketing.

Officially opened in July 2015, Fashion Outlet Montabaur features 13,900 m2 gross leasable area (GLA) and 55 stores with over 70 of the finest brands such as Joop!, Desigual, Diesel, Levi’s, Marc O’Polo, Nike, Samsonite, Fossil and Tommy Hilfiger, with a 98 percent occupancy. The outlet centre also includes over 1,500 parking spaces.

Fashion Outlet Montabaur

Fashion Outlet Montabaur is located between the densely populated regions of Rhine-Main and Rhine-Ruhr, with a catchment area of 17.5 million people within a 90-minute radius. The centre, built in a modern arcade style, is strategically situated next to the A3 motorway, travelled by more than 33 million cars a year. A train station next to the centre provides a 30-minute connection to Frankfurt’s international airport, which receives over 50 million passengers annually. The outlet centre employs around 350 people and is expected to bring huge benefits to the region’s economy and attract tourists from all over Germany and abroad.

“After two years of very solid performance, we are proud that Fashion Outlet Grundbesitz GmbH & Co KG has trusted us and our specialised management skills to be part of this successful project. We are confident that our 20 years’ experience and proven results in the outlet sector, together with the centre’s excellent location and catchment area, will help strengthen Fashion Outlet Montabaur as a popular shopping destination in the region. This long-term agreement also reinforces NEINVER as a key partner in the outlet sector and helps us continue growing and consolidating our company in the European market, where we operate 15 outlet centres with a total GLA of 539,000 m²”, said Carlos González, Managing Director of NEINVER.
