IHG signs double hotel investment in Poland
IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group), signed its 10th agreement in CEE.
Thanks to cooperation with Ghelamco, The Warsaw HUB complex will include hotels Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn. This is IHG’s first double hotel investment in Poland.
Crowne Plaza will be the first facility of this brand in Poland. It will be built next to the Holiday Inn Express. The hotels will offer a total of 430 rooms. This is IHG’s largest facility investment in Poland. IHG will independently manage both objects.
The investment will be located in The Warsaw HUB, well connected to the heart of Warsaw, near the Warsaw Uprising Museum and Plac Europejski, next to Rondo Daszyńskiego metro stop.
Four-star, 212 room Crowne Plaza will occupy floors from 11 to 21 of The Warsaw HUB. There will be a viewing terrace and Sky Bar. Common areas will occupy more than 2,000 sqm and will include: a meeting place, a gym, a spa and restaurant with an area of almost 900 sqm.
With 218 rooms, the Holiday Inn Express will occupy floors from 3 to 10. The hotel rooms will be decorated in accordance with the Holiday Inn Express Next Generation Design. Guests will be able to dine in a 250 sqm restaurant on the third floor where a corporate Express Start breakfast will be served.
Since the beginning of 2017, IHG signed 10 investment agreements across Central and Eastern Europe, which is the group’s record. Half of these investments are located in Warsaw. Among them are hotels such as Holiday Inn Mokotów, Warsaw Holiday Inn Express, and Staybridge Suites Mokotów Ursynów Warsaw – Poland’s first IHG hotel offering services such as “extended stay.”

At present there are nine IHG hotels offering a total of 1,459 rooms. Another 10 hotels (2,101 rooms) are under construction or in the preparatory phase.
